You race against time,

But do not expect to beat it.

The faster you climb,

The sooner you’ll come to meet it.

For once you’re in prime

You feel the strength to defeat it.

Don’t bet on a dime,

Your power won’t even bleed it.

You’re wasting your time

For time’s so fast, that to greet it,

Is only to mime

And lose the time when you need it.
