Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam
Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam
May this poor and stumbling rhyme
Honor the God who for ‘tis writ.
May this small life and all its time
Make God’s praise the sole goal of it.
Be this my Chorus and Requiem:
“Ad majorem Dei gloriam.”
May this weak heart quicken to give
Praise to its God, and grace to own.
May this dark soul lighten to live
To seek the Lord who may be known.
Be this my Chorus and Requiem:
“Ad majorem Dei gloriam.”
May strength be given to this soul
That God’s glory triumph o’er sin.
May all myself fade from the goal
And reflect all the praise to Him.
Be this my Chorus and Requiem:
“Ad majorem Dei gloriam.”
