Pro Veritate
Pro Veritate
May courage fill my heart to own
The truth in spite of every foe
And though this world hates to be shown
It’s sin, it’s wickedness and woe,
Be this my life and battle cry:
“Pro Veritate” why I die.
May mercy gentle every pain
That truth shall make the sinner feel
And once the heart is pure again
May truth also have strength to heal.
Be this my life and battle cry:
“Pro Veritate” why I die.
May I be true to truth fore’er
And never falter ‘neath the gale
For truth’s the greatest cause to dare
And only light that will not fail.
Be this my life and battle cry:
“Pro Veritate” why I die.

Amazing poem, as always! :D I read it again after looking up what "Pro Veritate" meant, and it made way more sense. XD
